Green Bay Packers Infographic
CHALLENGE
Working with the media agency Lemonly, I was tasked to create a couple of game-day infographics for the Green Bay Packers. The art style and reference images were chosen by the client previously, and consisted of player characters with no features other than their jersey number. The client would provide what facts she wanted to illustrate that were relevant to whichever game was happening that week, and it was up to me to decide how to represent them.
SOLUTION
I took the photos taken in-game to reference the positions of the illustrations, and then I had to decide how the data could be displayed in a way that would work with the rest of the graphic. For many of the illustrations, I used football references to display information (like the yard line markers and football field). Some other illustrations were more metaphorical, like the pool table with the NFL logos. The client was happy to try more whimsical approaches and wanted these infographics to be fun, and was pleased with the end result. You can see the infographics in their natural habitat here.
