Animation Study of Carrie

CHALLENGE

As a huge fan of Stephen King, I wanted to create an animation to commemorate the 47th anniversary of Carrie being published.

SOLUTION

I wanted it to be intricate and not obvious, so I decided to draw only the background of the aftermath after the book’s climax. The illustration is based on the 1976 film by Brian de Palma, and was created on Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and then had effects added on After Effects. This was the first time I experimented with lighting effects.
